Questions

The things people ask before they book. If yours is not here, the answer is a short email away.

Getting started

How do I book a first appointment?

Send a message from the contact page or call the clinic. We ask a few short questions about what you are looking for, then book a fifteen-minute call with a clinician, usually within three working days.

What happens in the first session?

Eighty minutes going through your history, your current difficulties and what you want to be different. You leave with a clear recommendation and no obligation to continue.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No. You can approach us directly. Some insurance plans require a referral for reimbursement, and we will tell you if yours does.

Sessions & scheduling

How long does treatment usually take?

Focused work often takes three to six months. Longer-standing difficulties take longer, and we review progress together every six weeks so you always know where you are.

Can I be seen online instead?

Yes, by secure video anywhere in Illinois, with the same clinicians and the same treatments. Assessments for children are done in person where possible.

What if I need to cancel a session?

Move or cancel up to 24 hours ahead at no cost. Inside 24 hours the session is charged in full, except in an emergency.

Fees & insurance

What does treatment cost?

Single sessions are $180 and ongoing care is $620 a month. The full breakdown, including assessments and intensive programmes, is on the pricing page.

Are you in network with my insurance?

We are in network with several major plans and issue superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Send us your plan details and we will verify your benefits before the first visit.
