Sentia is a psychiatric and counseling practice in Chicago. We treat anxiety, depression, trauma and the difficulty of change with methods that have been tested, at a pace set by the person in the room.

One clinic, Wellness Way, Chicago
Why we exist
Most people arrive here after trying to manage on their own for a long time. They have read the articles, downloaded the app, told themselves it would pass. What they have rarely had is an hour with someone whose only task is to understand the problem properly before proposing a way through it.
Sentia was built around that hour. We keep caseloads small enough that clinicians can hold the whole picture of a person, and we would rather turn a referral away than take on more than we can carry well.
How we practice
Every course of treatment starts with an assessment and ends with a review. In between, the work is cognitive and behavioural therapy, trauma-focused approaches, medication where it helps, and the plain business of talking things through week after week.
We measure what we can and say honestly what we cannot. If the approach is not working after a few months, we change it or help you find someone better suited. Continuing something that has stopped moving is not care.
Inside the practice
Consulting rooms, kept deliberately plain.

Fourteen clinicians, small caseloads each.

Group work runs alongside individual care.
What we hold to
We use treatments with published outcomes behind them, and we tell you which ones we are using and why.
You are not passed between staff. The person who assesses you is the person who treats you.
Fifty minutes, unhurried, and an assessment long enough to reach the actual question rather than the presenting one.
Diagnoses, fees and expected length of treatment are explained in writing before you commit to anything.
Sentia is fourteen clinicians, a practice manager and two administrators, working from one clinic on Wellness Way. Licensure and supervision details for every clinician are available on request.
